What Shall I Crochet?

In the past, when I thought crochet, I thought lacy doilies, usually made in cream.

Here are some I made a while back. I have placed them on a pillowcase to give some idea of scale. They are all made with crochet cottons.

For beginners it is easier to start on a larger scale using bigger hooks (4mm) and DK yarn.

So I have been making up some of the patterns found on the Attic24 website.

All of these patterns are in bright colours and have completely changed my idea of crochet. Hope you like my birdie.

So what sort of crochet do you like?

Hi BJ, your crocheted doilies are beautiful ... I can see them being treasured heirlooms one day. Love the little bird too. Elizabeth xx

Hi my lovely! I learnt to crochet when my Gran taught me at 6yrs old. I have done jumpers, blankets etc but when I tried the fine stuff I just couldn't cope with it hahaha xxx
